The District is organized under Colorado Law, specifically Part 10 of Article 1, Title 32 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. A Board of Directors elected by electors of the District governs the District. The Board of Directors is empowered by state law to adopt and amend rules and regulations for carrying out the business and objectives of the District.

Website Accessibility Policy
Montrose Fire Protection District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Montrose Fire Protection District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
